A MESSAGE
REGARDING COVID-19

On March 16, 2020, as the impact of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) was being realized across the globe, 3BL Media began waiving fees for the use of CSRwire as business leaders stepped forward to help.

In the month that followed, more than 500 press releases were distributed to CSRwire’s global audience. These included charitable donations, innovative solutions to the lack of personal protective equipment and medical treatments for COVID-19, and pledges to address the social impact of the pandemic. The top viewed news belonged to Johnson & Johnson announcing a lead vaccine candidate for COVID-19.

We are pleased to have been able to assist communications professionals to drive awareness of their work during a critical time.

Our free press release distribution program will end on April 17, 2020.  After that date, CSRwire editors will continue to monitor the inbound queue of COVID-19 press releases emailed to COVID19@3blmedia.com for content that is both global in focus and innovative in nature.  Select releases will continue to be distributed at no charge.

On behalf of the 3BL Media team, we wish you all the best as you, your families and your companies respond to the crisis. Stay safe.

Why Equity Matters for Companies: Delivering on Commitments

Working to close the digital divide is a powerful way for companies to make good on their commitments to equity and justice while opening up opportunities for millions around the world.

Digital equity often didn't get the urgent attention it deserved before COVID-19, but as more children from communities of color and low-income communities fall behind academically, this gap cannot be ignored. Beyond education, the digital divide affects access to healthcare and economic opportunity, especially as both moved to a more digital model during the pandemic.

HP is committed to accelerating digital equity for 150 million people by 2030 through its newly announced Partnership and Technology for Humanity (PATH) initiative that will invest in local initiatives and partnerships to address challenges in underserved communities around the world.

It's all part of HP's mission to become “the world's most sustainable and just technology company,” a journey mapped through aggressive 2030 targets to advance climate action, human rights and digital equity inside the company, across its supply chain and in the communities it serves around the world.

Join Ellen Jackowski, Chief Sustainability and Social Impact Officer at HP, and 3BL Media on June 23 at 1 p.m. EDT to learn why driving digital equity is crucial in the broader push for justice and how leaders can turn ambition into impact.

We’ll be joined by Nidhi Dubey of Girl Rising and Tanyella Evans of NABU to talk about how improving digital equity can change lives around the world.

Meet the speakers:

  • Ellen Jackowski, Chief Sustainability and Social Impact Officer at HP

  • Nidhi Dubey, India Country Director at Girl Rising, a global campaign for girls' education and empowerment

  • Tanyella Evans, Executive Director and Co-Creator of NABU, a nonprofit on a mission to eradicate illiteracy by 2030
